ERISCS Research Group at Aix-Marseille University (eriscs.luminy.univ-amu.fr) undertakes research in the field of correct/proved design, programming paradigms and security of critical communicating systems, contributing to scientific and R&D progress.
Over the last years, ERISCS has actively contributed to the development of the state-of-the-art, in particular for the design of secure communicating systems, associated cryptographic tools, applications. The tools produced at ERISCS are regularly transferred to R&D case studies and are used in a number of industrial applications. ERISCS strategy is thus to maintain a good balance between fundamental, experimental and applied multi-disciplinary research.
Creating realistic models and control strategies for monitoring large-scale urban transportation embedded networking systems remains a big challenge, due to the high unpredictability and heterogeneity of decisions, the uncertainty of the evolving environment and the requirements for security and privacy protection. Security for data transmission over wireless heterogeneous networks results in throughput loss and therefore trade-offs between security and throughput is always a major concern.
